Engine Coolants
We manufacture a range of engine coolants with different base fluids and inhibitor technologies to suit an extensive range of applications, including passenger cars, heavy duty trucks and buses, construction and mining equipment, stationary engines and marine equipment. Our industry leading technology ranges from conventional technology coolants through to full Organic Additive Technology (OAT) and next-generation low mineral additive OAT-based “lobrid” coolants.
Traditional Coolants
Conventional technology coolants formulated with mineral (inorganic oxide) inhibitor chemistry, which includes phosphates, silicates, borates, nitrite and other components
Hybrid Coolants
Hybrid technology coolants utilising a combination of mineral inhibitors with organic additive technology (OAT) for effective corrosion protection
Lobrid Coolants
Next generation hybrid technology coolants that utilise predominately OAT inhibitors, combined with low levels of mineral inhibitors to offer fast and efficient corrosion protection
OAT Coolants
Coolants that contain only organic additive technology (OAT) inhibitors that are virtually non-depleting, offering extended life corrosion protection benefits and broad compatibility
Heat Transfer Fluids
Building on our expertise in heat transfer and corrosion protection, Chiron Coolants develops and markets industrial coolants and heat transfer fluids to suit various applications. Our products include food grade, FDA-approved and fully formulated propylene glycol based heat transfer fluids designed for the food and beverage industries in particular.
Industrial PG HTFs
We offer fully formulated heat transfer fluids based on ethylene glycol or propylene glycol that offer excellent corrosion protection for the entire system
Food Grade PG HTFs
Chiron Coolants can supply specially formulated USP/EP propylene glycol based "food grade" heat transfer fluids that can be used in the food and beverage industries, where incidental food contact may occur
Flexible Formulations
With complete manufacturing and testing capabilities, Chiron Coolants can develop and supply specific formulations to suit particular requirements and applications
Additives and Customised Formulations
Working with key customers, our on-site laboratories and independent research bodies, Chiron Coolants develops customised formulations for specific applications and requirements. From hot test fluids, fuel treatments and other automotive additives, through to specialised heat transfer fluids for renewal energy suppliers (eg solar and wind turbines), Chiron Coolants has the R&D capability and manufacturing expertise to meet the most demanding applications and requirements.
